The UPS Systems are designed to prevent the Heidelberg Dedicated Computers and associated equipment from damage resulting from Electrical Power Surges, Lightning Strikes, and Power Outages. Each UPS System has 3 or 4 Nema 5-15 Surge Protected Receptacle Outlets, and 3 or 4 Nema 5-15 Receptacle Outlets with Battery Backup, and Surge Protection. When a Power outage occurs, the UPS System will start beeping to let the Operator know that the System is running on Battery Backup. The Battery Backup will continue to supply Power to the Computer for 20 to 25 Minutes. When the Battery Back up nears depletion, the UPS System will cause the Computer to shut down, preventing the loss of test Data. The Computer is the only device that gets plugged into the Battery and Surge Receptacles. The Printer and Battery Charger must be connected to the Surge Receptacles, not the Battery Backup Receptacles. All UPS Systems have an OFF/ON switch incorporated into them. When the UPS System is disconnected from the Incoming Power Outlet, it must be switched off, to prevent internal Battery from discharging. CARE AND HANDLING When the Heidelberg System is not in use, the UPS System must be turned off, and unplugged from the incoming Power Outlet. This will prevent the internal battery from completely discharging. |
The International UPS Systems are also contains the standard Surge Protected, and Battery Backup, with Surge Protected receptacles that the US versions have. The International UPS System are set up for the Individual Countries incoming Supply Voltage and Frequency requirements. They also include the particular plug requirements to match that Country's electrical outlets. CARE AND HANDLING When the Heidelberg System is not in use, the UPS System must be turned off, and unplugged from the incoming Power Outlet. This will prevent the internal battery from completely discharging.
