Each Heidelberg pH Diagnostic System includes two complete Heidelberg Program restore CDs. The CDs are labeled, 1 of 2, and 2 of 2. In the event The Installed Heidelberg Program is Corrupted, the Heidelberg Program must be reinstalled in the Computer. Corruption of the Heidelberg operating Program usually occurs when non-Heidelberg Programs are loaded into the Dedicated Computer. Prior to reinstalling the Heidelberg Operating System Software, the corrupted program must be completely removed, from the Heidelberg Diagnostic System. The Add and Remove Programs Function located in the Windows Control Panel, must be used to remove the corrupted program. Once the corrupted Program is removed the Computer must be shut down and restarted. After restarting the Computer, the Operator must check the Hard Drive to make sure all of the Components of the corrupted Program have been removed. The CD labeled, 1 of 2 must be installed first. The Program is self loading, and will provide the operator with prompts for installing the Program. When the First Program is completely installed, the second CD labeled, 2 of 2 must be installed. The second Program is also self loading, and will provide the Operator with Prompts for installing the Program. It is highly advisable to make a Back Up CD of the Heidelberg pH Diagnostic Program on a periodic basis, to prevent the loss of Patient Data files. If the Heidelberg pH Diagnostic Program is reinstalled in the Computer, all of the Patient Data Files from the previous Program will be deleted.
Care and Handling
The Heidelberg Diagnostic Program CDs should be stored in a secure place. Always keep the CDs in the Plastic Jewel Cases, when not being used. Before reinstalling the Heidelberg Program, contact your Heidelberg Representative. He may be able to assist you in repairing the Corrupted Heidelberg System Program without the loss of the Patient Data Files.
