The Clinical Studies on a Thousand Patients, over a Three Year Period, at the Heidelberg University in Germany, verifies that the Normal Re-acidification Time, for a Young Healthy Adult is, between 20 to 22 minutes.
The above Graph shows a Fasting Acid level in the Stomach prior to administering an Oral 5cc Saturated Solution of Sodium Bicarbonate. When the Alkali Challenge is administered to the Patient, the Graph line will move upscale to the Neutral or Alkali side. The Time, required for the Parietal Cells to reacidify the Stomach, will determine the Patient’s condition; Normal, Hypochlorhydric, Hyperchlorhydric, or Achlorhydric. As the Age of Patients increase, the Timing for Normal also changes. For all age groups, the Re-acidification Time for Patients’ classified as Normal, falls between 12 to 33 Minutes. This Information is documented in a 1000 Patient Study, which was done by Professor H. G. Noeller at the Heidelberg University, in Heidelberg Germany.

A HEIDELBERG Achlorhydria pH PROFILE (Obvious)
Achlorhydria: Is The Absence of Free Hydrochloric Acid in the Gastric Juices. Patient's, who have Achlorhydria, may have a form of Pernicious Anemia. This should show up on a routine Blood Test. Curing the Anemia would generally return Stomach to its Normal Parietal Cell function. Always check to see if blood work has been done recently. It pays to be on the “lookout” for Anemia's. This condition is always pertinent in Patient's that are HIV Positive (Aids). The Heidelberg pH Diagnostic System can be used to determine the correct amount and type of Medication necessary to promote good Conversion and Absorption in Achlorhydric Patients. The Heidelberg pH Diagnostic System will not cure HIV Positive Patient's, but it can be used to increase their quality of life. The Digestive System must work at its optimum level to support the Immune Systems! The absence of HCL reduces the Immune System Viability and promotes the onset of Infectious Diseases. The Normal presence of HCL in the Stomach actually sterilizes and emulsifies the foods that we eat.

Alkali Challenge Proves Hypochlorhydria
Hypochlorhydria: Is the diminished secretion of Hydrochloric Acid produced by the Stomach’s Parietal Cells. It causes Reflex Stomach-Emptying (Dumping). Patients will lose most of the advantages of the First Phase of Digestion, including Sterilization causing incomplete conversion of Proteins into Amino Acids. These incomplete Protein conversions can generate Allergens and many other conditions. This is common in Aging, but it is not limited to Aging, and, as described, is a very common problem with Allergy Patients.

Hyperchlorhydria: Is the excess production of Hydrochloric Acid by the Stomach’s Parietal Cells. In most cases, Hyperchlorhydria Causes Delayed and/or Marked-Delayed Stomach-Emptying-Time. It is NOT uncommon for a Persons to retain food in their Stomachs, and sometimes, for as long as 24 hours. (Eventually, the pressure of additional meals physically ‘push-the-foods’ out of their Stomachs.) The consumed foods are denied the proper distribution of the necessary Duodenal Juices (Enzymes, Bile, and Physiologic Buffering), required for the next phase of Digestion, which results in poor conversions and absorption, resulting in reduced fortification of their Immune Systems. Medications, which require a close-to-neutral pH environment (Small Intestines) for absorption, are virtually ‘inoperative’ all of the time, during the Delayed-Stomach-Emptying-Phase. Hypochlorhydria and Hyperchlorhydria Conditions can be corrected and treated after discovery of the stated condition (s) by special (specific physiologic) Buffering. This condition Does Not require a pH Blocking Medication to correct.
